TP-LINK has ok switches but they don't have anything competitive on the router side. Unifi has a much broader product range, both in APs and the wider UniFi system. They have AC Wave 2 models, more outdoor models and usable in-wall APs. Plus the option of a single interface for your whole network, routers, switches and APs.Factory reset the UDM. I'd recommend not using separate SSIDs based on frequency. It's generally not a good idea. You only need one combined 2.4 and 5GHz SSID for all your personal devices, if you activate MAC authorization. You can bring your devices into specific vlans with this configuration. You need a separate SSID for your guests.
